Tommaso Caravani

Insights and strategy for Europe’s aftermarket and collision ecosystem.

I analyse the business models, networks and trends shaping the European collision repair and automotive aftermarket landscape, with a focus on spare parts, claims, technology and distribution.

What I do

I work across independent analysis, editorial projects and event moderation, helping decision makers understand how Europe’s collision and aftermarket ecosystem is evolving.

Collision and aftermarket analysis

Market structure, networks, insurance dynamics, EV repair readiness, ADAS calibration and regulation.

Newsletter and editorial projects

Caravani’s Caravan is my weekly LinkedIn newsletter. Collision Hub Europe is a complementary project focused on interviews and special reports.

Events, speaking and moderation

I moderate panels, roundtables and executive conversations across Europe, working with distributors, insurers, suppliers and technology providers.

Journalism, publishing and industry events

My professional work is rooted in automotive aftermarket journalism. Over time, this editorial activity has naturally expanded into the creation, organisation and moderation of industry events and conferences.

Editorial and journalistic work
I work as an automotive journalist and editor within the Italian and European aftermarket ecosystem. I am part of the editorial team of Notiziario Motoristico and contribute to vertical publications such as Carrozzeria Autorizzata.

Alongside traditional publishing, I curate Caravani’s Caravan, a LinkedIn newsletter focused on the automotive aftermarket as a whole, from mechanical repair to bodyshops, parts and paint distribution, equipment, and European and international regulatory developments.

Industry events and formats
Beyond journalism, I design and develop industry events that bring together different segments of the aftermarket. I am the ideator of RicambistDay, and the creator and host of formats such as Car Service Day and the Professional Paint Distributors Meeting.

These projects are built around content, dialogue and market understanding, rather than promotion.

Moderation and panel participation
As a natural extension of my editorial and event work, I also moderate panels and conferences for third-party organisers, publishers and companies. I have taken part as moderator or panelist in international industry discussions, including events organised by IBIS.
